Betting Calculators - Enhance Your Bets at Players.org

You’ll have noticed that we have plenty of tools here at Players.org all aimed at enhancing your experience online. Our betting calculators may just be some of the most useful, allowing you to easily convert odds, confirm hedging opportunities, and even highlight the implied probability.

Overview

How can top betting calculators enhance your betting experience?

We will be the first to say that betting calculators aren’t going to provide you with any guaranteed winnings. However, they will prove to be very effective in finding you the best value and implied probability.
This is ideal for those of you scoping the online betting scene in the search for top odds and discrepancies amongst sportsbooks. However, even for the β€œaverage” bettor, online betting calculators, like arbitrage calculators, are well worth checking out.

Simple tasks like effectively converting your odds into your preferred format can be achieved by clicking on an odds convertor. Here, you can type in your moneyline, fraction, or decimal, and soon find alternatives, including Malay, Hong Kong, and Indonesian odds.

In other instances, you may be wanting to establish how you can walk away with winnings from a hedged bet. In essence, these wagers require you to bet on alternative outcomes – if you can find a small discrepancy or a different sportsbook with a smaller vig/margin, you can often hedge effectively.

Of course, they are also great tools for building parlays and tricasts. Once you have the odds available to you and the stake you wish to place, you’ll find that the rest is completed within a matter of minutes, meaning you can save time and lock in your odds before they change again.

Pros
  • Ideal for newbies and experts
  • Quickly convert odds
  • Establish the best value
Cons
  • Do not provide guarantees

As briefly touched upon, you’ll be able to find betting calculators for all sorts of requirements. For the most part, we have found that the odds converter is the most popular – a calculator that can be used for everything from the moneyline to the first TD scorer. However, when considering the most popular bet types, we have found that calculators are often essential for the following:

Hedging

A hedged bet refers to any two wagers that are placed on alternative markets on the same fixture. For example, in a match between the Bengals and the Giants, you will be betting on both teams to win.
Generally, you won’t find slippage in the odds at the same sportsbook. So, you’ll often place a bet on the Bengals to win at one site, and a bet on the Giants to win at another. The margin/vig plays a huge role in the value of this wager. If there is a significant difference, it can mean that you can walk away with winnings, regardless of the outcome. A hedging calculator will then show you the differences and potential wins.

Parlays

A parlay is a very common bet placed by sports fans. Instead of placing individual bets, you’ll be required to choose a selection. You can build same-game parlays, cross-sport parlays, and just about anything in between. You’ll just need to bear in mind that all of your selections must come in for your wager to be considered a winner.
So, for instance, when looking at the Bengals and Giants again. You may build your parlay odds calculator up from the following, but all selections must be true in order to win:

    • Burrow to throw for over 200 yards
    • Bengals to win
    • Devin Singletary to score the first touchdown
    • Bengals 2+ sacks

Tricast

If you’ve spent any amount of time around greyhounds and horse racing, then you’ll have heard of the tricast. In essence, this bet requires you to select who you believe will finish first, second, and third. Alongside the standard tricast, you’ll also find a combined tricast that allows you to select three horses and payouts will vary based on where they finish across the front three.
As an example, you will choose runner 2, runner 5, and runner 9 to finish first, second, and third in a tricast bet. With a standard tricast, the only way to win is with the race finishing as follows:

      1. Runner 2
      2. Runner 5
      3. Runner 9

Of course, with a combined tricast, you’ll end up spending more to cover the additional outcomes. However, provided runner 2, runner 5, and runner 9 land somewhere in the top 3, you’ll walk away with some winnings.

Spreads

The spread is a fairly simple bet type, but it is usually used in this context to compare with the moneyline calculator. A spread will look to β€œeven the odds” by adding in a numerical advantage or disadvantage to the outcome. A spread betting calculator will then highlight the implied probability and compare that with the odds of a moneyline.
When looking at a spread, you’ll come across a (+) plus points for the underdog and a (-) minus points total for the favorite. For instance, you may be able to bet on the Bengals -7.5 against the Giants. Your bet would then win, provided that the Bengals beat the Giants by 8 or more points.
