We found that when you first visit their slick-looking casino homepage, Fanatics doesn’t give too much away. It’s all very mysterious until you sign up – with just a little info about the brand’s latest bonus and qualifying US states mentioned on the main landing page.

The reason for this is simple – you’ll be redirected to a QR code, and asked to download the operator’s app once you click “Get Started”, because this is the only way you can currently play. We found that in the four US states where Fanatics Casino is available – Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania and West Virginia – it isn’t unknown for different starter bonuses to be offered to different players.

That said, the offer we got – and that most of you will probably qualify for, too – was good for $50 worth of bonus bets when we deposited $5 or more at the point of registration. Not the biggest bonus in the world, then, but it was super flexible.

Our “Casino Credits”, as Fanatics called them, were playable on hundreds of slots and table games with minimal restrictions. No promo code was required, and no wagering requirements were listed either – though we did have to use up all our bonus bets within seven days of receipt.

The layout is logical, with minimal clutter, and it’s available on both iOS and Android. We loved the lowkey, dark mode style theme, scrollable game carousels, and large buttons to suit all finger sizes.

We found that pretty much all the existing customer bonuses and rewards available with Fanatics Casino come tied-into the site’s “FanCash” rewards system in some way, shape or form.

This isn’t exactly what we’d call a VIP program, but it is powered by loyalty points. The way it works is simple: whenever you spin a slot game or play at a table, you’ll collect “FanCash” that can later be redeemed for casino bonus bets at a rate of 1 FanCash = $1 USD. Subject to state-level T&Cs, of course.

It’s an interesting and entertaining concept, and one that’s particularly well-suited to frequent gamers, though we still felt it a shame that there weren’t any conventional (i.e. outright claimable) bonuses advertised to existing players at the time of writing.

That said, we adapted to this real quickly – and we reckon you will, too.
